Israel’s Sonovia (see here previously), manufacturer of Coronavirus-killing facemasks, is diversifying. It is partnering Italian denim manufacturer PureDenim to develop an eco-friendly reduced energy, water, and chemical manufacturing dyeing process to transform the outdated, polluting, indigo dyeing industry.

Fashion goes green

German textile manufacturing giant Bruckner has partnered Israel’s Sonovia (see here previously) to develop a water & energy efficient finishing machine. It will use soundwaves to infuse odor-repellent, water-repellent, antibacterial, and UV-blocking into fabrics without polluting materials and adhesives.

Ultrasonic technology for fabrics

The innovative ultrasonic technology from Israel’s Sonovia (see here previously) makes fabrics antibacterial, water resistant, and flame resistant with less pollution than current methods. The technology is being integrated into the fabrics made by Israeli textile company Delta Galil.

Genesis winner donates prize to medical startups

Israel’s 2019 Genesis Prize winner, Natan Sharansky, donated his $1 million prize to 10 Israeli startups developing innovations to combat Covid-19. The 10 are Kamada, Pluristem, Sight Diagnostics, Sonovia, Biobeat, EyeControl, K Health, Picodya, IAI and MyZeppi.

Israeli facemask effective against Covid-19

Internationally-conducted tests on the facemasks produced by Israel’s Sonovia (reported here previously) have proved that the metal-oxide coated masks destroy the novel coronavirus. Sonovia produces several thousand masks per day and has sold several hundreds of thousands.
