Shavuot in the Land of Milk and Honey

It is traditional to have dairy foods on the Jewish festival of Shavuot (Pentecost) – the most popular being cheesecake and blintzes. Israel has over 800 dairy farms and the Israeli Holstein breed of cow produces on average the highest quantity of milk in the world.
