Documents and photographs from a 1927 excavation on Temple Mount have just been uncovered from archives hidden in the Rockefeller Museum in East Jerusalem. They show that a Jewish ritual bath (“mikva”) dating from the Second Temple had been unearthed beneath the Al-Aqsa mosque.
