Israel’s Modulight Biotherapeutics is developing optogenetic therapy using light-activated proteins (opsins – developed at Israel’s Weizmann Institute) to target neurons in the brain and treat severe neurological disorders. These include neuropathic pain, epilepsy, and movement disorders.
