Israeli hospitals reported record numbers of new babies in July, always the busiest month. The 1,518 deliveries at Soroka in Beersheva was 10% higher than last July’s record. Tel Aviv’s Sourasky (Ichilov) recorded 1,014 births – 10% more than average. Israel’s 3.11 births per mother is the highest in the OECD.
