Diagnosing sleep apnea by smartphone

Ben-Gurion University researchers have developed a system to assess obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) severity by analyzing the patient’s speech using his or her smartphone.  It also records and evaluates overnight breathing sounds and has been tested successfully on 350 subjects.
