Researchers at the Rambam Health Care Campus have used DBS (deep-brain stimulation) in the laboratory to counter schizophrenia symptoms. DBS acts on the brain’s decision-making process, to cure cognitive inflexibility – the source of schizophrenia’s hallucinations and chaotic behavior.
