A Syrian girl whose right leg was shattered in the civil war is the youngest patient ever to undergo the Ilizarov technique at Israel’s Ziv hospital. Orthopedists, anesthesiologists, plastic surgeons, physiotherapists and operating theater staffers succeeded in saving and restoring her leg.
