A 2,000-year-old receipt

In excavations carried out in the City of David, within the Jerusalem Walls National Park, a small fragment of a stone tablet has been discovered, bearing an inscription naming “Shimon” and some financial information. The fragment has been dated to between 100 BCE and 100 CE.
