Kirill Drik had already made Aliya and was studying for a master’s degree at Tel Aviv University. He went to Ukraine to visit his sick mother, when Russia invaded, and he was trapped. He then had to study in a bunker. TAU staff kept in contact and ensured Kirill was able to graduate.
