Israel is to transform a disused landfill site in Netanya into a residential area for 2,062 families and 1,100 hotel rooms. It involves evacuating 2.5 million cubic meters of waste, increasing Netanya’s famous iris nature reserve and providing much needed housing for the seaside city.
