Israeli charity Uga B’Haftaha (Cake by Surprise) matches volunteers with seniors in their hometown to visit and chat over cake and coffee. It started when Holon resident Tal Harel returned from a post-army trip and delivered municipality food to homebound seniors during the pandemic. (See also here.)
