2,200 year-old gold coin for Egyptian Queen unearthed

A gold coin minted for Queen Berenice II dating back about 2,200 years has been uncovered just outside the Old City of Jerusalem. The discovery sheds new light on the status of Jerusalem after the destruction of the first Jewish Temple by the Babylonians in 586 BCE.
