Israel’s Evogene has successfully completed three years of field trials in Brazil to develop castor beans into bio-diesel and other industrial uses. The crop is sown after the soybean harvest, when rainfall is insufficient for other crops. It provides farmers with a high value crop and vital extra revenue.
