US based Applied Materials Inc has unveiled its Applied UVision® 5 wafer inspection system for detecting microscopic defects in microchips. Israeli technology is responsible for the Deep Ultra Violet (DUP) lasers that will speed up the manufacturing of the world’s microprocessors.
