Two researchers from Ben Gurion University and one from Colorado University have engineered an anti-inflammatory protein that only activates when it finds inflammation. Current anti-inflammatory treatments suppress the immune system and risk causing infections.

Hi Rose – I think that all the information you are requesting is contained in the article itself. It is still very much in early stage development – clinical trials in the laboratory. But it is exciting news and even relevant for my own chronic condition. Hopefully I will be around to make use of the eventual resultant medication. Best regards, Michael
