Israel was the first country to send aid in the aftermath of the earthquake in Eastern Turkey. The first report below is from the Turkish news media Hurriyet. In 1999 Israel rescued 12 people and treated over 1000 following the devastating Turkish earthquakes that killed over 20,000 people.
