Due to the Syrian conflict, numbers of trucks crossing between Israel and Jordan has risen 300 percent since 2011, to 10,589 trucks a year. Exports from Turkey via Israel for passage on to other countries were 77,337 tonnes in 2013 (17,882 in 2010). There are major plans for further expansion.
