More than 86,000 foreign workers have come to Israel since the war began.- mostly from Thailand and India. Half work in construction, but also in agriculture, in supermarkets, car repair shops, and as caregivers. They replaced some 190,000 Palestinian Arabs, of which under 10,000 now work in Israel.
