Israeli missile tracking technology gives NBA statistics

(Thanks to Nevet – www.BroaderView.org ) The US National Basketball Association uses the SportVU system to track every dribble, pass, and off-ball movement 72,000 times a contest. Israeli scientist Miky Tamir, whose background is in missile tracking and advanced optical recognition, created SportVU in 2005. He sold the system to Stats in 2008.
