The Israeli women’s chess team beat the favorites, Russia, in the European Team Chess Championship taking place in Warsaw, Poland. After three draws, Israel’s Masha Klinova defeated Russian chess grandmaster Natalia Pogonina. Israel is currently leading the tournament.
