A group of childhood cancer survivors, mostly from the U.S., arrived in Israel this month as part of Chai Lifeline’s “Wish at the Wall” program. The 10-day annual event was made possible by the Hartman Family Foundation.

Siloam inscription could return

One of the results of the warming of diplomatic ties between Turkey and Israel is that Turkey may return the Siloam inscription. It was written on the wall of Hezekiah’s tunnel, dug some 2,700 years ago to protect Jerusalem’s water source. The Ottomans took the inscription to Turkey.

550 Bnei Menashe return to Jerusalem

Some 550 new immigrants from India’s Bnei Menashe community visited the Western Wall for the first time, accompanied by Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Israel Rabbi David Lau. The community claims descent from one of the 10 lost tribes of Israel and is converting back to Judaism.
