120 religious Jewish women took part in the 7th annual “Hack.Her.It” competition at the Jerusalem College of Technology. The winner built a radio-wave tracking device for travellers. Others built communication devices, aids for amputees, and a safety system for the eldely.

Medical charity serves Druze town
Israel’s largest volunteer charity Yad Sarah recently opened a branch in the Druze town of Majdal Shams. The timing means the charity is able to provide vital medical equipment to residents recovering from Hezbollah’s rocket attack that killed 12 children and wounded many more.

Nagham Haj Ali, 20, from Shefa-Amr in northern Israel has over 500,000 social media followers. She volunteers at Haifa’s Rambam Medical Center and tells everyone to do national service. President Herzog awarded her a certificate of excellence for fostering understanding between Jews and Muslims.
