The Israeli Ministry of Economy held the first Israeli Food Festival in 25 Costco stores across Japan.  A separate Israeli food festival took place in Vietnam in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Israel returns Egyptian artifacts

Israel has returned two colorful Egyptian sarcophagus covers from the 16th and 10th centuries BCE to Egypt amid warming relations between the countries.  The artifacts were stolen and shipped to Dubai to London and to Israel. They were found in an antiquities shop in Jerusalem's Old City.

Preventing AIDS in 14 African countries

The World Health Organization will approve the PrePex device by Israel-based Circ MedTech. It allows medical workers in Africa to perform painless circumcisions to help stop the spread of AIDS. WHO’s prequalification will allow PrePex it to be offered to adult males in 14 countries.

At the Dell Future Ready Conference in Tel Aviv, Michael Dell, founder and CEO of Dell stated "Israel's performance has inspired the entire world, and it's important for us to be in Israel”.  He also used the event to name Dell Technologies as the merged Dell-EMC2 partnership.

Ex-Ethiopian MK meets African women UN delegation

Likud MK Avraham Neguise met at the Knesset a delegation of women from several African countries. They included politicians and academics, as part of the UN Women initiative.  Neguise urged merging Israeli tech and fertile African soil to effect change in Africa.
