Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is joining the board of directors of Israel’s Quantum Source (see previously) which is developing an Israeli quantum computer. Before entering politics Bennett co-founded Cyota ($145 million exit) and was CEO of Soluto ($100 million).

Brian Kemp, the governor of the US state of Georgia, is making an economic development trip to Israel. Israeli companies employ more than 1,000 Georgians. Georgia exported $280 million and imported $650 million in goods and services to Israel last year.

More flights to Israel

Travel to Israel has increased significantly following the start of Delta Airlines’ Atlanta to Tel Aviv route (3 times a week). El Al has begun twice-weekly flights from Tokyo and from Porto Portugal, plus thrice-weekly from Dublin and from Istanbul.  

Whole chunks from plants

Israel’s Chunk Foods (see previously) creates whole-cut meat substitutes that are now available in restaurants in New York City and Los Angeles. Chunk Foods recently completed the biggest seed round of funding ever for an Israeli plant-based protein company, securing $15 million.
