Cool Israeli tech implemented
SoftBank and Hon Hai Technology (Foxconn) have for the first time implemented the two-phase direct liquid cooling technology from Israel’s ZutaCore (see previously) in an AI server using NVIDIA accelerated computing.
Promoting Israeli tourism in Berlin
The Israeli pavilion at the International Tourism Bourse (ITB) fair in Berlin featured tour operators, hoteliers, airlines and more. Visitors could taste wine, experience a virtual tour Israel using Augmented Reality technology and had the chance to win a vacation package to Israel.
An economy on steroids
US Jewish venture capitalist Peter Kash made the prediction “By 2026, Israel will be an economy on steroids,” at the IATI MIXiii Health-Tech.IL Conference, Israel’s premier life sciences and health tech gathering. He was spot on in 2011 when he predicted Israel’s huge growth. (See also report)
Average wage rose 5.1% in 2024
The average wage of an Israeli employee rose by 5.1% in 2024, compared with 2023, the Central Bureau of Statistics reports. Even after inflation is taken into account real wages rose by 1.9%. The long-term average real wage in Israel has risen by more than 30% from 2011.
Terminal 1 to reopen for April surge
Ben Gurion Airport’s Terminal One will resume operations during the last week of March. Israel’s Airport Authority expects 1,377 flights, mainly Arkia, Israir, Wizz Air, and Ryanair to depart from Terminal 1 in April. EasyJet is expected to resume flights to Israel in June.

Israel’s Smart Shooter (see previously) from Kibbutz Yagur has sold hundreds of its Smash AI smart fire control systems to the German army.
Arkia continues flights to New York
Israeli airline Arkia announced that it is extending its recently launched flights to New York through at least October due to high demand. Its three weekly flights have a set price of $1,200 round trip in economy.

Peregrine Ventures (see previously) which specializes in life-changing medical technology investments in Israel and around the world, is the most active investor in Israel in the health technology sector over the past year. It made 15 healthcare investments in 2024.
