Israel’s Ministry of Housing and Construction and the Israel Land Authority are listing 30,000 dwellings at 20% discount to market value. The first 10,028 units will be sold by lottery in 31 cities including Acre, Dimona, Ofakim, Be’er Ya’akov, Eilat, Ashdod, Haifa, Jerusalem, and Rishon Lezion.
Flying cars for Australia
Israel’s AIR (see previously) has just partnered with Australian electric aircraft distributor, FlyOnE, to supply 25 AIR ONE eVTOL vehicles, worth $150,000 each, in 2025. FlyOnE will serve as AIR’s local distribution, service, and maintenance partner.
Opportunities in Bahrain
A team from Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP), led by Executive Chairman Erel Margalit, completed a 4-day visit to Bahrain as guests of the Bahrain Economic Development Board. They met Bahrain’s top business leaders to promote a new economic chapter in Bahrain-Israel relations.
First Royal Air Maroc flight does the business
Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is now operating four direct flights a week between Casablanca and Tel Aviv. The inaugural flight carried a Moroccan business delegation which was very positive about developing economic ties between the two countries (see Youtube video).

AI voice recognition for drive-thrus
Checkers Drive-In Restaurants has selected Presto’s automated voice ordering for all its corporate-owned drive-thru restaurants. Developed using the conversational AI technology from Israel’s Hi Auto (see ) it aims to be deployed at all Checkers & Rally’s US restaurants in 2022.
A maritime tech accelerator
Ashdod Port Company has partnered with global venture capital firm 500 Global to launch a new accelerator program dedicated to maritime tech. Local startups include DockTech (see previously), Naval Dome (cybersecurity at sea) and Eco Wave Power (see previously).
