Israel to host Miss Universe 2021
Israel is to host the 70 Miss Universe competition in December in Eilat. The 3-hour event will be broadcast live in the US and viewed in 180 countries.
Israeli opera season
The New Israeli Opera has announced its 2021-2022 season, with eight new operas at the Tel Aviv Opera House. They include The Magic Flute (Nov), Eugene Onegin (Dec/Jan) and La Traviata (Jan/Feb).

Teaching basketball to Israeli kids
Every year former pro basketball player and the “Jewish Jordan” Tamir Goodman runs a basketball camp for Israeli children. This year, the camp was privileged to have NBA Hall of Famer and retired basketball legend Rick Barry come coach the kids. He also heralded Israel’s innovations.
Ironman comes to Israel
The famous grueling triathlon contest Ironman 70.3 will take place for the first time in Israel on 12th Nov. 1,000 athletes from 17 countries signed up for the event within an hour of registration going live. It involves a 1.2-mile swim of the Kinneret, a 56-mile bike ride and a 13.1-mile run.
Chelsea expands inclusive soccer program
The Chelsea Foundation has launched a new partnership with the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation and the Israeli Football Association (IFA) to help expand the “Playing Fair, Leading Peace” sports program to reach more than 1,000 Jewish and Arab children in Israel.

Acrobatics gold
The Israeli team won gold at the World Acrobatics Championships in Geneva. Michal Stratievsky, Yarden Ron and Tamar Stoller received a score of 28.450 points, beating out trios from Russian and Portugal to take first place. The Israeli athletes are all between the ages of 13 and 20 years old.

The latest beautiful Israeli postage stamps feature Tu B’Av (Jewish festival of love), Olympic Games, Israel Police Orchestra Centennial, Manufacturers' Association of Israel Centennial, plus labels depicting the Police marine rescue service and a Police bomb disposal expert.
