Dream Theater plays Tel Aviv

Grammy-winning progressive metal band Dream Theater chose Tel Aviv’s Hangar 11 to begin their 2023 Top of the World Tour. The band credits influences, such as Rush, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden and Metallica and often uses the Bible to evoke powerful imagery in their music.

Best student documentary

The documentary "Requiem for a Whale", by Tel Aviv University alumni Ido Weisman, won the best student film award at Los Angeles’ IDA Awards, considered the most prestigious award in the world of documentary films. The film also recently won the Israeli Documentary Forum Annual Awards.
