100,000-year-old burial site

Archaeologists believe they have found one of the oldest burial sites in the world at Tinshemet Cave in central Israel. Well-preserved remains date back some 100,000 years were carefully arranged in pits. Objects near the remains may reveal early human ideas about spirituality and the afterlife.

Rare hybrid stork visits Israel

For the first time in Israel, a mocha-colored hybrid stork (a cross between a black and white stork) was recorded by birdwatchers in the Hulda reservoir in the Shephelah. A similar hybrid  had been spotted previously in southern Germany, but that was a different bird.

Israel wins 2025 European Men’s Lacrosse Championship
