In a 19-hour operation, surgeons from Israel’s Schneider and Beilinson hospitals successfully replaced half of a 15-year-old Russian cancer patient’s pelvis using a 3D-printed titanium and advanced polymer implant. The implant will now start to grow real bone around it.
