A consortium of Israeli banks has signed a NIS 9.6 billion contract for the construction and operation stages of the Nofit light-rail project linking Haifa to Nazareth. 30+ light-rail vehicles will travel up to 62 mph some 41 km, with 20 stations, transit terminals and park-and-ride facilities.
