Sigd holiday in Jerusalem

Thousands of Jews of Ethiopian descent gathered at Jerusalem’s Sherover Promenade to celebrate the community’s ancient Sigd holiday. Sigd is a bridge between Ethiopian Jewish traditions and the wider Israeli society. One attendee was Avera Manfisto – a 5-years hostage of Hamas.
